The Blessing of Community
The Bible talks about the community of Christians as a household (Eph. 2:19), a body (I Cor. 12:12-31), a temple of “living stones” (I Peter 2:4-5) and more. These illustrations demonstrate the value of community and the need we have to connect with one another as an expression of Christ. When a believer joins a church family, he or she becomes a true partner in the vision, ministry, and community that church represents.
You don’t need to become a member in order to be involved at Bethel Cleveland, but we do believe that making that commitment brings forth fruit in a unique way that blesses all parties involved and produces exponential impact. Our covenant with God and our commitment to one another work to shape our culture and our community. Membership is is an outward demonstration of an inward commitment we have made to each other and to God. This commitment helps to define our roles and communicates the intention of our hearts. As members of Bethel Cleveland, we join together as a church family to glorify God and build each other up, inspiring and encouraging one another to walk in God’s plan for our lives both individually and corporately.
When you become a member, you are joining the church of Bethel Cleveland, regardless of which campus you attend. The membership process and commitments are the same for all campuses.
How to Become a Member
1 – Enter Lunch: Several times each year, we host an “enter lunch” immediately following the service on a Sunday morning. Meet our pastors and hear about our history, our vision for the future, and how you can get connected!
2 – Explore Course: This 3-session class runs several times each year, always right after an Enter Lunch. Learn about our core beliefs and values, get acquainted with the Bethel culture, and let us get to know your passions and gifts so we can help you get connected. This class usually meets on Sundays, prior to the service. Watch the announcements for details.
3 – Get Connected: Meet with your local campus pastor and get connected with the groups and teams that are right for you. Become an official member of Bethel by signing our membership card.
